The Johan Cruyff Institute is a private academic center that provides education in sport management, sport marketing, football business, sponsorship and coaching through a network that currently has five Cruyff Institutes (Postgraduates and Masters) around the world, plus three Cruyff Universities (degrees) and five Cruyff Colleges (vocational education) in the Netherlands. ==History== The academic institution was founded in 1999 with a program for 35 athletes as part of the Johan Cruyff University〔Johan Cruyff University〕 of Amsterdam and has since become a global network. In 2002, the Johan Cruyff Institute Barcelona was opened and established as the international headquarters, and the expansion proceeded to Mexico (2003), Amsterdam (2006), Stockholm (2011) and Peru (2013). With very practical 100% sports-oriented education, it has a pool of teachers made up of professionals active in the sport industry. It currently teaches 45 online, blended and on-campus programs.〔(Johan Cruyff Institute Academic Programs )〕 More than 6,000 students have graduated from the institution since its founding. As a center specializing in sport management education, the Johan Cruyff Institute has adapted to the demands and needs of the sector, providing specific and tailor-made programs for federations and clubs worldwide.
